As some of you may know, to support the growth of my photography business I have been in part-time employment at a local school over the last couple of years.
Midway through 2016, I set myself a goal for the amount of work I’d need to have secured to say goodbye to the school and go full time. I am happy to say I achieved this goal and Wednesday was my last day, which means I’m going FULL TIME! Although the jump into full-time self-employment sounds a little scary, I couldn’t be more excited and proud that I have grown my business to this point.
Without the overwhelming support I have had over the last few years, none of this would have been possible, so I am forever grateful to each and every one of you that have believed in me.
I feel I should mention some people who have massively supported me over the last few years as I’m not sure I’d be where I am today without them.
To my Dad, who I personally like to also refer to as my personal ‘business advisor’. The list is endless with things he has helped me with. He has always been there to give me advice and I am so thankful that I’ve been able to have his support.
To Phil, my boyfriend, not only did you support me on my first ever wedding to make sure it all went okay, but you’ve continued to work with me on the majority of weddings as my second shooter. When I meet with clients I always praise you for being the awesome human being you are and you make me so proud.
To my clients, every one of you, whether that be from the very beginning or the very latest. Without my first clients I wouldn’t have had future ones, so thank you for trusting me. You have all helped push me towards what I want to do. I loved getting to know you all, and have made some dear friends in the process.
To Kerrie from Kerrie Mitchell Photography, thank you for having me on your team the last couple of years as your second photographer. You have taught me much and I always have the greatest fun working with you at weddings.
To my nearest and dearest, you know who you are, thank you for the being so awesome.
Here is to going full time, I am looking forward to what the future holds!
