Bury St Edmunds Garden Wedding

Ragnhild made her wedding dress, yes you read that right, how amazing is that! She took parts of her nan’s original wedding dress and added her ideas to it to make it her own. When you scroll down you’ll see how incredible it is.

We arrived at The Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmunds to photograph Ragnhild and her two bridesmaids getting ready. Ragnhild’s bridesmaids did her hair and nails, whilst she did her own make-up.

Once ready it was a small walk across the street to The Athenaeum where her and Joe where getting married.

When the ceremony finished the couple had arranged for a red double-decker to collect their guests and take them on to the reception, that was being held in Joe’s parents back garden. They waved off their guests as we were going to to take some couple photos in the gorgeous Abbey Gardens.

Joe and Ragnhild’s wedding day, in general, was filled with lots of homemade things as it made it more personal. Some hammocks where hanging from the trees for guests to chill out in, various garden games to entertain all the generations and a help yourself bar.

I love how all the guests came together and helped with different things. One guest had made the cake, another did all the design work and signage and the DJ was a family friend.

I really loved the styling of their wedding day and here are some of my favourite photos.
