Elopement & Micro Wedding Photography

Feb 14, 2025 | Wedding advice & ideas

Not every couple wants full-day wedding photography. Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement, a micro wedding with just your closest family and friends or simply just want shorter photography coverage, you shouldn’t have to compromise on beautiful wedding photos. My elopement and micro wedding photography package ensure your special day is captured with all the love and emotion, even within a shorter timeframe.

Why choose shorter wedding photography coverage?

Many couples choose shorter wedding photography coverage because they’re planning a smaller, more intimate celebration or simply want to capture the key moments without full-day coverage.

No matter how many hours they book, all my couples share one thing in common—they truly value beautiful wedding photography. A shorter wedding day is just as meaningful—it’s still filled with love, joy, and unforgettable moments.

With shorter coverage, you can still capture:

  • The key moments of your ceremony
  • Beautiful couple portraits as newlyweds
  • Family and group shots with your guests
  • Candid moments of love, laughter, and celebration

What does a shorter wedding photography timeline look like?

Every wedding I arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before the ceremony to:

  • Meet the registrar/priest/celebrant and discuss logistics
  • Photograph the ceremony setup
  • Capture candid moments before the ceremony
  • Ensure I’m ready and onsite to capture the important moments

Example 2-hour wedding photography coverage timeline:

13:00 – Photographer arrives (30 minutes before the ceremony)
13:30 – Ceremony (20-30 minutes, up to 60 minutes for religious services)
14:00 – Ceremony ends
14:10 – Group photos (10 groups, approx. 30-40 minutes)
14:40 – Couple portraits
15:00 – Photography coverage ends

Want a more relaxed experience? Add an extra coverage!

You can add extra 30 or 60-minute blocks to include:

  • Confetti and mingling time before formal photos
  • Candid moments with guests enjoying drinks and celebrations
  • Prep shots before the ceremony (if all in one location)
  • Speeches and cake cut before the meal

Making your wedding photography uniquely yours

Every wedding is unique, and so is your photography coverage. I take the time to chat with you about what matters most, ensuring your timeline fits your plans perfectly.

Because I only book one wedding per day, you also have the flexibility to add extra coverage closer to the date if needed. My goal is to make your photography experience seamless, stress-free, and tailored to you.

Want to discuss your wedding photography?
