Great Lodge Wedding

Jan 8, 2020 | Weddings

A throwback to summer 2019 for Ro and Ben’s special day. Morning preparations started at the Great Lodge for Ro and the girls whilst the guys were getting ready in Ro and Ben’s new house that they had moved into days before their wedding.

Ro and Ben’s wedding at the Great Lodge, Great Bardfield.

With limited photography in Great Bardfield church where the couple wed, I was excited to get back to the venue to capture their day as it unfolded, what a day it turned out to be! Not only was their wedding on what felt like the windiest day of 2019 but they also had all weathers, sunshine, light showers, a rainbow and a warm glow of a sunset. When we saw the rainbow, we knew we had to get outside fast and capture some magic!

I loved the styling of the barn at the Great Lodge, the drapes giving the barn a more homely feel, I particularly loved that Ben transported his own arcade machines for guests to play on the day. The pinball machines and teddy grabber went down a treat with all the guests, I even managed to have a quick game before the night was through (I need some more practice on the pinball machine).

In the evening the bride and groom and some of their guests went out to feed the Alpacas with Rebecca the owner of the Great Lodge. This made for fun photos, be sure to scroll down to see the newlyweds feeding them. The fun carried on into the evening with a packed dance floor, sparkler line and shots to finish!

Thank you so much for having us capture your special day, one I won’t forget. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together in your new adventures.
